Two people died and four others were injured on Thursday morning in a head-on collision between two pickup trucks on Route 14, in the area of the Santa Fe department of San Lorenzo, where dense fog was recorded. The incident occurred near the town of Villa Mugueta, where a Chevrolet S10 and another utility vehicle collided at kilometer 53 of that highway, according to local media reports. The driver of the first vehicle, identified as Sebastián L., was injured, while two occupants of the other car involved, whose names were Rubén G. and his wife Laura M., became trapped and died as a result of serious injuries. Additionally, three other seriously injured people were taken to area hospitals. Gustavo A. suffered a skull trauma with loss of consciousness, a blow to the right shoulder and left hip, and was taken to the Provincial Hospital. Meanwhile, Misael A. suffered a collarbone injury and was taken by ambulance to another healthcare center, while Emanuel G. remained under observation for multiple injuries.
